Judy Mozen, president of Atlanta-based Handcrafted Homes, Inc. (fourth from left), recently spoke about opportunities and challenges for women in the home remodeling and construction industries at the national Women in Residential Construction Conference in Scottdale, AZ. Judy participated in the opening panel of the conference, joining other female industry experts from around the country.

Judy told conference attendees that the world has changed, and the home remodeling industry must change, too, and create career opportunities for people of all nationalities, races and gender. She says women are a great untapped resource since they make over 60 percent of the decisions when a home is remodeled. As 2015-2016 President of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry), Judy is speaking around the country on opportunities for women in home remodeling and construction.
